They become friends and travel together to see Richard’s friend, Zeddicus “Zedd” Zu’l Zorander (Bruce Spence). While there, she is aided by a young woodsman named Richard Cypher (Craig Horner). He searches for the Three Boxes of Order which would give him ultimate power.Īfter Rahl’s army invades the Midlands, a Confessor named Kahlan Amnell (Bridget Regan) travels to Westland to find a wizard to help defeat Rahl. The inhabitants of the Midlands are overseen by The Confessors, a magical group who have the ability to “touch” a person’s soul and give them great power.ĭ’Hara is ruled by Darken Rahl (Craig Parker), an evil tyrant who wants to bring the Midlands and Westland into his own empire and make the residents his slaves. Westland and the Midlands are separated by a boundary which keeps magic out of Westland. In this fantasy series, the world is separated into three provinces Westland, the Midlands, and D’Hara.
